GRANTS FOR RESIDENTIAL AREAS
Applications should be made by residential areas to the Town Council within the next few days. This "Priming Grant" scheme is a good opportunity to enhance your own area.

AREA ESTATE LITTER LEAGUE
We are starting the competition between residential estates very soon - see local papers for details.

GARDEN COMPETITION
The garden competition will also start very soon.

PAINTING
We recently painted over graffiti at Garvey's Lane (off Main Street) and also carried out painting works around the Cathedral area. Thanks to the ESB for recently painting a large number of poles around town.

FLOWERS
Well done to the Dawn Learning Centre for their great work on flower tubs around the town.

BRIDGE STREET
The Town Council has carried out good work at the old AIBP car park at Bridge Street. This has made a big improvement to that corner of town. Tidy Towns placed flowers at the front wall.

LONGFORD FIRE STATION
The fire station property and grounds at Templemichael are attractive, very well maintained and are a credit to management and staff. The new hanging flowers are also eye catching.

LITTER WARDEN
Litter offences can be reported to the Town Council Litter Warden, Paric McGee at 043 46474. Litter issues outside the 30mph signs should be reported to the County Council (043 46231) Litter Warden, Colm McInerney.
